For the new year, get going with a walking program and you will build up to slow jogging then running. To start with your walking, get good support and traction with leather walking shoes. When your body is ready, you can start with a very short run every day and build up. Running is the best exercise. Winter weather and traffic can make running unpleasant and difficult. Gym workouts can include a treadmill, but this can require commuting. Therefore, a home treadmill is best to get in shape and stay in shape.
